Alicia Peters, ERYT 500
I first stumbled across yoga in 1997. From the time I was introduced to it up until now, it has been the root of all other healing modalities I have explored in my life. It has been a tool I have used to bring stress relief, pain relief, and mental relief. It is my escape, and my home base. I am honored to have all of the teachers and places I have studied from and my intention is to give back more than the gifts that I have received from this practice. I am certified at the 500-hour level, (Tamal Dodge 200-hour, Santa Monica, CA 2009, and Shakthi Paramasivam- his apprentice for his first teacher training 2012, which was well-over 300 hours of study here in Cleveland, studying Fluid Dynamics) but my practice cannot be documented on a few sheets of paper. I also studied at The City of 10,000 Buddhas, a Buddhist monastery in Ukiah, CA studying organic gardening, working in a vegetarian restaurant, and studying multiple forms of meditation. I volunteered at 2 yoga studios, studying Bikram and Relaxation & Restorative for Seniors yoga. My practice extends beyond the mat into dance and martial arts and is ever-evolving. Drop in on a class, and be prepared to have a life long love affair with your mind and body.
